THE NETWORK ("we," "us," or "our") operates the platform available at thenetwork.com (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use our real estate referral marketplace, including all features, services, and content offered through the Platform.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Account Information: When you register, we collect your full name, email address, and password. Agents additionally provide their real estate license number, state of licensure, years of experience, geographic area of expertise, and transaction history.

Referral Data: When you submit or claim a referral, we collect details about the lead including client name, contact information, property location, estimated deal value, and referral fee terms.

Payment Information: Payout and payment details (bank account, PayPal email, or mailing address for checks) are collected when you request a payout. Card transactions are processed by Stripe; we do not store raw card numbers.

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Platform, including IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and actions taken.

Communications: Messages sent through the Platform's discussion threads or contact form are stored on our servers.

We use collected information to:

• Operate and improve the Platform and its matching features
• Facilitate referral transactions between agents, brokerages, and referring parties
• Calculate and process referral fee payouts
• Send transactional emails (referral status updates, payout confirmations)
• Enforce our Terms of Service and comply with legal obligations
• Detect fraud, prevent abuse, and maintain platform security
• Send product updates and marketing communications (you may opt out at any time)

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:

Between Platform Users: Agents who apply for a referral will have their professional profile (name, license number, experience, area of expertise) shared with the referral owner to evaluate the application.

Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party providers who help us operate the Platform, including Stripe (payments), email delivery services, and cloud infrastructure providers. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Referral records, payout history, and agreement logs are retained for a minimum of 7 years to satisfy real estate compliance and financial recordkeeping requirements. You may request deletion of your account at any time; however, some records may be retained as required by law.

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences, and analyze Platform usage. You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may affect some Platform functionality.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to protecting your data.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of marketing communications
• Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)

The Platform is intended for licensed real estate professionals and adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
